[Return WHNAT]

Wayne Fishback is an architect, city planner and pioneer of green building practices. Still in his 20s he became a general partner at SGE, the second largest architectural firm in Chicago. Fishback specialized in large complex healthcare projects for internationally known institutions such as Columbia University, Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, and Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC. Many projects involved master plans which extended into the surrounding city. The projects also benefited from Fishback’s early work in establishing green building practices after the 1973 Oil Embargo. By the early 90s Fishback had led projects in 22 states and on five continents. During the last five years he has used his experience with complex projects to resolve the heretofore intractable problem of homelessness.
